Whether flatpicking a hot bluegrass solo, crooning a tender ballad or letting loose with a cowboy yodel, David Steward never fails to connect with an audience.
Adept at many styles of traditional American music, he draws from swing, country and rock ‘n’ roll to create a rootsy sound featuring catchy melodies with plenty of room for improvisation.
David plays around the American Southwest singing jazz standards, cowboy classics and his original songs. He plays guitar and sings with Quicksand Soup and Juniper Drive.
He has also performed with guitarist David Earl Brown, playing rock and blues. He spent ten seasons as a Bar-M Wrangler, playing Western music at the Bar-M Chuckwagon. Other collaborations include Dave & the Stewardesses, a Celtic music trio, and performances with legendary jazz bassist Gene Perla.
